A cidade de Glasgow, no Reino Unido, ganhará até o fim do mês uma rede de internet sem fio no metrô. Segundo Gordon Maclennan, responsável pela empresa de transporte local, Gaslgow será a primeira cidade a fornecer cobertura 2G e 3G no metrô, sendo assim um "marco". "A nova rede também deve tranquilizar os nossos clientes que terão uma resposta para às suas necessidades de trabalho", acrescentou ela.

"Operator Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) has signed a deal with Arqiva to provide a combined cellular and wi-fi network at all 15 stations.
